![]() it's totally possible right now and less dumb than VR or something but people aren't doing it.
to get around the locally running a AI model to generate all that shit problem you put a TPU in your 2nd PciE slot thats dedicated to the ai work [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] was listening to a podcast last night talk about these things are apparently it's google abandonware but people on github are working on it and writing drivers n shit to keep it going because its insanely more efficient at AI workloads than a GPU apparently

They would rather shun AI than embrace it. read any video game developers talking about it. The question was about when AI in video games: answer not for a long time because priorities. What do you want, "probably soon because I think magic fairy's are going to decide to do it!" I am just being honest. Ive posted about wanting AI in EQ like 90 times on these boards nobody replied about it once without calling me a fascist.

![]() in an earlier thread I mentioned that the Nemesis system in the Shadows of Mordor game is patented, the system where the NPCs (ai) keep track of what you are doing and then respond to it when you encounter them later, so it feels like they are alive: The Nemesis system they call it.
And was wondering because they never leveraged that system, even though they patened it (assholes) I wondered if they were just waiting until AI and they will sue anyone who has NPCs in games remember what you're doing with AI.

I think Ekco might know the current state of running a mass LLM on an Xbox though. Imagine Red Dead Redemption, but with AI, would be a living world! They'd have their own politics and elections and shit I swear to god, imagine that! Too bad we have to wait 10 years for GTA 7 - maybe they will be the first to do it. They've got the dick size large enough to shake up the industry with something like that.

it will be such a groundbreaking and dynamic experience that nobody will ever need to buy another game ever again. Everytime you log into the game it'll be different, not only that it doesn't even have to be the same genre or category or anything specific, it doesn't need teams of humans writing code for development or play-testers or shareholders or any real way to make money off of it the concept of game mechanics doesn't matter to AI You could sit in freeport and play a simple game like /gems with bar patrons who have real time AI conversations with you then you roam the commonlands RPG style fighting monsters and collecting quest items which you deliver to rivervale for your quest rewards then you travel through highpass first person shooter style, running and gunning with an Elf machine gun like playing Doom Once you arrive in the karanas you could hop on a griffon for a grand theft auto style romp around the plains and steal from the farmers, pick up gypsy girls and try to avoid getting caught by the guards having evaded the guards long enough, you and your gypsy girl make it to qeynos hills only to be overwhelmed by gnolls and now you have to go fight through the blackburrow dungeon with cell-shaded borderlands graphics to save your princess only to find that she was sold to the ice dragon queen Lady Vox that you have to go hit with a MOP Bunker Buster deep into her ice lair

![]() AI powered NPCs would just be too powerful, raid targets would literally never get dropped. Mob would just target the clerics or people outside the CHeal chain. You think you want it, but you wouldn't really.
