lol @ implication there's a significant amount of obscure shit in this thread
Oh please, this whole thread is more or less one big pissing match to see who's cooler and more individualistic by listing an album that 6 other people listen to.

I'm reasonably sure more than one poster here googled some musical term they heard their emo friend say once and listed the first 2 hits, having no clue what it even sounded like. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Here's what I'm listening to right now:

I'm pretty much just looping this and other ones by the same guys over and over. It might be obscure, but they aren't trying to get famous or be cool, so it doesn't count.

Revival is a pretty epic jam.

I like a lot of pitchfork favs as well - not my fault that their reviewers happen to have similar taste as me. They do get stuff wrong a lot... like how they (and everyone else in the world) is all over the stroke's dick for "is this it" when "room on fire" was a way better album. Seriously, am I the only one who realizes this? Also, some of the ambient shit they rave about is really weak. How ambient has gone from the stuff Aphex Twin was putting out to what it is now is beyond me. I haven't really liked anything in the "ambient" genre since Drukqs.

Edit: right now listening to Wolf Parade's album "Apologies to the Queen Mary"

I've been into Spencer Kruger a lot lately, I like Sunset Rubdown a bit more than Wolf Parade. Have you listened to Moonface at all? It's his newer material, I think solo project.
