Default Wizard Question- Bonds of Force vs Atol's Spectral Shackles

Is there ever a reason to use Atols snare over bonds of force? I don't see the need for the extra mana usage when Bonds works fine.

Casts 0.5 seconds faster and lasts 30 seconds longer.

So it has value when you're gathering up a kite with flux staff on mobs who run fast, and also when you take more than 2 min to kill a quad.

Beyond that, no reason. For your run of the mill quad spot I don't believe you'll find any benefit in using the higher one other than to feel cool using higher level spells.

Ahh didn't think about the faster casting time. That would have made it a bit easier for raptors but I was able to still kite them with just jboots and bonds. The extra time could be nice but I don't think I have ever taken that long to kill a quad.

Any advice on where to quad at 56? I got bored of raptors and it kind of slowed down a bit xp wise. I have been doing wyverns in CS but the xp is even worse but the loot is better and I figure as long as I can get some xp while also getting loot I might as well. At least until 57 cuz then they prolly will all be greens. I was thinking if it would be possible to quad KC basement?
