Exclamation Text / links garbled in chat windows (snippets of HEX?)

Has anyone seen this before? Is this a known issue? I've never seen this before moving back to my desktop computer. I use my own setup doc to install EQ so it's the same install every time. Other users in zone state they had no issue. I've seen others in gu talk about having a similar issue.

Happens to me sometimes too. ItemID codes have special characters and hex in them and the client converts it to a clickable link. Sometimes it doesnt pick it up and displays part of it as text. Usually its just with a specific person and if I reload the client then it'll fix itself
