Root rotting is good, you just need to know when to use it and when not to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gdAIheodtY - This is an example of root rotting in Velks. I have little trouble keeping the mobs rooted and dotted.

For Droga, I don't root rot as much. JBB is a very nice tool in lower level dungeons, and it breaks root. I will use Epic, JBB, and pet as my damage dealers. https://wiki.project1999.com/Tigir%27s_Insects is a good option to slow multiple mobs at once, so you can simply slow/tank a few goblins at a time while your Epic is ticking on them.

You also do need to be more careful in Droga. The mobs do hit hard for their level, so they can beat you up if you have like 10+ attacking you.
Yeah I agree the Pet + JBB works better there in droga. I tried that the other day and it wasn't too bad. Not as fast or easy as my 60 monk, but a lot more reliable than root-rotting. I did have to use annul magic a couple times to remove the damage shields on the goblins, but it seems cheaper than trying to blow 800 mana on struggling with keep 8 caster goblins root. Honestly, I tend prefer having my pet out at most camps anyway. The pets DPS is not as good as the Mage, Necro, or Enchanter pet, but its still pretty decent and it's one the only 3 ways I can do mana free dps as a shaman. Bane is nice too, but it's so expensive to use, I tend prefer just using the JBB if it will land for full damage.

lol did you just sit there and eat all the spells??

On my Druid I just run thru rooting and epic dotting. LOS the spells. If you face tank all the dispels and shit you’re gunna have a rough time

Also if you’re just farming the trash, do the lower level side and not the inner sanctum. Try to get them as they spawn after the first cycle, or they are gunna buff the fuck up
Not intentionally, but it did happen a lot. I had to recast the epic dot on the goblins which requires getting in line of sight and getting pretty close to them to cast the epic. The epic range is only 100.

You should not be having issues root rotting Droga mobs on a 60 shaman, regardless of how many

Shaman isnt an amazing green farmer. I would much much much prefer to be on a monk or ranger for it. Consider duoing with a melee?

Ranger’s decent regen, decent ds, passable mitigation and terrible avoidance really comes in to its own for killing a bunch of greens.

They hit you, they get hurt, you out-heal it. Grab a pbaoe proc if you’re worried about allocating a hit to each mob before ds bests you to it.

Monk is definitely good in droga. My 60 Monk with Fungi + IFS can easily kill them without any downtime. A 2 hander definitely required in Droga because of all the Damage shields.

Only issue with Ranger is that there not that many good 2 handers for them. IFS on the monk is such a great 2 hander for price. Plus the epic is 1 handed with worn haste. Ranger would not be the best option IMO.

Edit: Although, I suppose the one good thing is that Ranger can get the Sky cloak, so the dispells can't remove the haste, but Monk epic is still better.

Root rotting more than 6 with shaman epic is a bad time. It takes 1min 30 (duration of epic click) to re-root and re-click epic on 6 mobs.

So if you are ONLY casting root and shaman epic, you can do 6 mobs before the first Curse of the Spirits wears off (and giving yourself very minimal time to cannibalize between casts)
