Character Wipe?

I am an old player returning. I was initially around 4-5 years ago.

Are old characters routinely wiped as the progression happens?

Even day 1 characters that were only played for 5 minutes are still there

How do you go about finding your character then? I don't see my characters I played.

Are you logging into the correct server?

Are you logging in with the correct account?

Those are the two main reasons someone might not see their characters. If you didnt apply the current Project 1999 Files (V45) that could also cause issues as well

But short of that, only other reason (I can think of) they would be missing is if someone maliciously gained access to your account and deleted them all

How do I go about an account recovery? I linked my EQEmulator account but it doesn't have my characters. I have my original email back in 2009 when I signed up on the forum.
