Ranger Gear Q!

Hey all! So I’m back on Norrath after a 10 year hiatus! It feels good! Only problem is I guess when I left, I sold off everything on my 33 Ranger!? Dohhhhhhh! So I’m looking for suggestions on what I should buy for him gear wise please!

Well. I’ve got a 55 Druid who has 2k to his name

Silver Chitin Handwraps for haste if you don't have any yet. Swarmcaller is a great investment for a two hander because it procs a slow if you can find it, plus a Woodmans Staff for pure dps. I usually switch to Woodsman after the Swarmcaller procs if I am soloing.

Aside from that, AC/HP/Str are your priorities. Silver Chitin Arms/Hands can be found for cheap. Aside from that, just whatever you can find for sale. Unless it's Fri/Saturday evening the tunnel can be pretty slow.

Longterm you are going to want to save for better haste item and a tolans bracer.

it's hard to find much in the tunnel with any real consistency these days so u gotta stick to what is available. ac/hp rings, schw for haste and crystal chitin armor pieces are pretty solid and easy to find, good weapons already mentioned. talisen makes a decent starter bow just don't pay full price for it imo or maybe kill that giant in kael for his

Kylong, Rygorr, Sebilite Scale, and Tigerraptor armor are all decent.

Dark scale greaves and arms or Mithril nice for STR. Black ice armor is cheap.
Phase Spider Carapace or tree weave for chest.

SCHW for haste. You will get more bang for your buck with a 2h. Silver Swiftblade, natures wrath or springwood stave would work on the cheap until you can afford a woodsman or argent protector.

Snare/fear animals. Save up for a tolan bracer; it will open up solo spots 50+ when animal fearing isn’t as viable.

So far I’ve managed to acquire - swarmcaller, a woodsman staff, Takisen, SCHW. Tree weave for the chest. Some of the cheaper Tolans items.
