Default Should be no exp loss for Suicide/Environmental deaths

Suicide, drowning, falling, bleeding to death and other environmental deaths did not cause exp loss on Rallos Zek.

This is the oldest screenshot I could find confirming this from 2002, probably from Luclin:

yup pulling a large HP item was a solid way to cheat a pvp death and not lose xp, good for not dying to mobs too

If I recall correctly, yes. That and HT, also removing HP gear when u are below that amount of HP - (being at 50 hp and removing djarn ring should make "soanso dies." without xp loss)

edit: just realized the guy above me said the same thing

This incurred xp loss just not environmentals, not sure how this is all treated code-wise here.

No. Iirc killing yourself was also an xp death with mana stone death saying "Nirgon has been slain by Nirgon". Lava/fall/drown/bleed out should be no xp lost.

Killing yourself/environment/bleed out would also prevent item loot.
