Game Mechanics: Cripple VS Focus of Spirit

On the beta server, if you are buffed with focus of spirit, cripple will not land on you (your spell did not take hold) and focus of spirit will overwrite cripple if it is on you.

Cripple does stack with maniacal strength etc, is this intended behavior?

Bump. This is still working as OP described. This is a well-known bug amongst high level pvp and is being used a lot.

Scenario: My 60 enchanter raptures a monk, tashes the monk, then casts cripple. I got a "Your spell will not take hold"

Maybe be an issue with some additions that were made to Focus in post-Luclin being in effect here:

2002-10-16 11:15 Added Slot 9: Stacking: Block new spell if slot 1 is effect 'DEX' and < 1060

Cripple reduces STR by 68-75(?), which is less than +67 and less than +1067 so Focus (circa 2002) overwrites and blocks based on this historical update in Lucy.

IDK if this is present here, but may be of guidance to pinpointing the issue.
