The best/worst part about Dalnir was this quest:

https://wiki.project1999.com/The_Visceral_Dagger

The drop rates on it are abysmal. My little brother had a mid level necro and I ran through Dalnir with him COUNTLESS times on my 60 monk until we finally got it put together.

Sweet item, and awesome graphic, but damn was it a grind.

Was I in the same Dalnir as everyone else? I brought my semi-twinked SK with 21% haste and an Iksar regen BP, was able to solo very well in the early 30s in the basement. Just gotta get downstairs. Nothing in the top floors sees invis

Visceral dagger quest was easy as SK for some reason... Much worse was the collecting pages in Swamp of No Hope

Dalnir gets a bad rap because it's packed with caster mobs and has complicated layout, though nothing too abnormal for a kunark dungeon. Most people are used to the same series of popular leveling zones, try going to dalnir, wipe to the casters, and write it off.

Some of the goos on the upper floors can see invis if you're unlucky. Always loved the zone.

Dalnir on p99 is unbalanced because it's caster heavy and all casters have full spellbooks here. They didn't used to on Live in era. It's harder than it was back in the day (though it was still crap even then).

Man, I had forgotten how off P99 was in that regard. When I first got here it was shocking (I think I even filed a bug), but now I've just gotten used to the unclassicness.

What do you mean? Caster mobs have 8 spells memmed, right? Matching their class. By full spellbook do you mean they have spells beyond their level?
