![]() So I’m running my usual route around the park, did 6 untimed laps so roughly 7ish miles with the to and from
And the entire time I notice what I thought was a fat chick sitting on a concrete section at the edge of one part of the park, right along my route. Didn’t think much of it, other than it being rare to see people at the park at 9:30 at night when I’m running unless there is a sports game going on for high schoolers. And usually it’s not a lone chick. Too fat to easily abduct at least… But on my 5th lap around and she’s still there. Except now so is a cop talking to her. So I turn my music down to totally evesdrop on them as I zip by. And I realize it’s not a she at all, it’s a fat long haired dude and I couldn’t tell because it was so dark And HE’S saying to the cop something about his dad telling him to take his meds. He seemed adult sized, he came across as early 20’s, maybe autistic. Then I noticed as I went by a box near him. I assumed initially it was a suitcase of some sort because it appeared he had bailed from home and had nowhere to go but the park But then I realized it was his computer tower. And I thought oh you adorable little fat nerd. I’m sorry this is going on, but you need to go home. Take your huge stash of digital hentai next to you with you. But let me pinch those face cheeks first though Oh it was so cute. See you can never see this kinda shit on a treadmill

![]() Who ratted him to the cops? I feel like if I'm getting kicked out of a house or will be gone for any other reason for more than a few days I'm probably leaving my PC tower at home.

I did have time to consider the situation when I thought it was a chick. She didn’t appear in any visible distress. A high school game had just wrapped up, and she was looking at her phone. So I assumed she was getting a rideshare or waiting for someone to pick her up. And I don’t think based on that I woulda said anything before my last lap But that was when I thought it was a chick. Obviously that fat (and we talking probably about a tres hundo here) dude is gonna have that computer JACKED off him by day 2. Shoot I was considering doing it and returning any parts that weren’t an upgrade to mine just to teach him a lesson

![]() Welp, this half marathon I:
- Dropped my water bottle and had to stop and turn around and pick it up. I noticed I was literally the only one out of like thousands who had a water bottle in their hands btw. Maybe I wasn’t supposed to? I did feel bad because my klutzy ass caused the people directly behind me to have to slow down. Everyone else either had water bottles on their belt or they only drank the shitty two sips you get from the helpers, spilling out half as you try to drink from a soft floppy cup while running. No thanks, bottle for me - I hadn’t gone more than like 7-8 miles in training. And only that a few times… - I forgot to turn runkeeper off for like another minute as I staggered away from the finish line And I STILL beat last year’s time, WUSSUP One noteable thing there was this younger girl (20’s or 30’s) with an American flag booty shorts who I passed around mile 6. Then I turned it up in the second half this time. Very very few people passed me in the second half because I went notably faster there than the first half. But somehow this girl did around mile 11. I thought “you fast bitch”. And I couldn’t get ahead again. But I stayed close enough where I got the occasional look at that America booty for the rest of the run My “Shut up legs, you’re fine” shirt was a big hit again. It was so crowded that at the beginning walking around before the race I only got a handful of compliments and smiles/laughs. But on the walk to my truck after where there was far less people and everyone I passed had time to read it, I got smiles and compliments from almost everyone I passed Overall, was great. But now I feel kinda sad. Like I do after finishing a great book series or show. Like it’s the end of an era kinda sad. At least till next year. Or maybe it’s just that I’m sick. Because I also feel legit sick. Gonna go lay down

![]() That's a good pace! Are there any other events around your area? Would you travel to do another one? I'm also someone who starts the race with a water bottle I carry with some electrolytes in. I sip from that to save stopping at the hydration tables among all those trip hazards.

Oh sure there’s lots in and around where I live because lots (millions+) of people. I think there is another half-m happening next month But nothing comes close to the size and spectacle of this one. My race had 5,500+ ish competitors (I placed around top 650 overall, top 50 for my age out of 300), and that was down -1,500 competitors from last year (either due to the drug ozempic being a much easier method to fat loss than exercise, and/or the inflation/economy). And pre-covid it used to have like 30-50k competitors. And never will come close to that again, sadly I agree on the water bottle! Mine also had a mix of Liquid IV and other powdered re-hydrator But yea I tell myself yknow you can do some of the smaller (less competitors I mean) races this year. I told myself that last year and didn’t. But this year I think I might. I don’t travel much but if the race was a big and pretty enough spectacle, I could see that. Maybe something in CA

![]() The last time I ran the Great North Run (half marathon) in the UK it had 32,000 or so runners... its like the biggest running event next to the London Marathon. Always funny hearing the race start and waiting another 10 minutes to actually start yourself [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
