Default Defense Skill Max on the p99 Wiki

The math for the skillcap on defense on the p99 wiki is incorrect. The Wiki States;
Quote:
"For the cloth casters, it appeared for their Defense skill up to level 10:

Defense(max) = ((level x 4) + 5)

since my three casters had Defense = 45 at level 10. But from what I have
gathered since a few have experienced into higher levels, the Defense skill drops
to three points per level gain. That is, level 11 = 48, level 12 = 51, level 13 = 54,
level 14 = 57. But since the maximum of all maximum is 145, three per level does
not evenly divide into (145 - 45) = 100.

Anybody have any insight, especially at higher levels? Does it reach a point to
dropping to two points per level, down to one?

So far, this is consistent with my experience as a cloth caster:"
This is "almost" correct except for this part:

Quote:
"Defense(max) = ((level x 4) + 5)"
The correct math is:

first five levels = 5 per level
second five levels = 4 per level
Levels 11+ = 3 per level (ill clarify where this goes from 135 skillcap to 145

the reason why the math is presumed to be (level x 4) + 5) is because the skill caps are identical from lvl 6 onward

lvl 6 cap = 29
lvl 7 cap = 33
lvl 8 cap = 37
lvl 9 cap = 41
lvl 10 cap = 45

but the proof is in the first several levels

lvl 1 cap = 5, not (1*4)+5 = 9
lvl 2 cap = 10, not (2*4)+5 = 13
lvl 3 cap = 15, not (3*4)+5 = 17
lvl 4 cap = 20, not (4*4)+5 = 21
lvl 5 cap = 25, which is the same as (5*4)+5=25 but only by coincidence.

That'll teach you to argue with the wiki.

Anyone can edit/update the wiki if they make an account. If you believe that the wiki is incorrect, you should update it! Posting here is nice, but fixing incorrect info in the wiki is an order of magnitude more helpful.
