I think this is more of a "Dad's" Everquest. Where people like me who gets maybe 2 hours at night to play or if I am not super busy at work, can still enjoy all those juicy pixels without spending 100+ hours and get enough DKP to get an item. Again, It is more like Diablo where you can solo kill Diablo/Meph/Baal etc. It is like EQ if it was an ARPG. best of both worlds IMO.

Yeah it is not gonna be for some people, but when you have kids, dogs and house stuff to do, it is what it is.

Consider Quarm as an alternative to THJ, copious amounts of dopamine hits for those casual Dad's who don't want to poopsock and neglect their families. Not sold on it yet myself but its wild how ezmode the place is compared to p99.

Easy to acquire no drop shit like:
Jboots Lv20+
Manastone Lv30+
DE guise Lv30+
Pre-nerf fungi stick Lv50+
fungi tunic Lv50+

Instanced raids, Barbarian Paladins, Beastlords in Kunark, Chardok 2.0 in Kunark, earth staff MQ is like 5k, place is bat shit crazy.

Sounds like most games nowadays where once an expat hits someone has already beaten final boos within a day or two. All reward 0 skill

Sounds like you might have been beat for those ftes. Now to the fact you completely bypassed my point. No sense of accomplishment with games nowadays. You just log on and tada $20 gets ya a new outfit or $100 gets you an item no one else can get (unless they pay also). Buy insta max level and be the envy of your friends…….. Now the emulators of ezmode are the same way except the ones running it can’t charge

Quarm would have a cash shop instantly if daddy Daybreak said they could, they already have a "plat shop" listed on discord:

I like what tiggles said about EQ. People think its a hard game, but it's not, it's an easy game.

It just has harsh punishment for failure so people perceive it as difficult, but it's really not.

If the intention was to introduce plat sinks then great. However the propensity for greed in online gaming……. (Eq2 plat duping comes to mind)

THJ is the most at risk of a shutdown. Scratch the surface they're onto a winner at the moment. Good for them though honestly, they've created something fun.

some builds can AFK farm AAs using an auto clicker placed over a macro button that will pop all your summons / cooldowns / etc

I don't know about that, when it's just solo or maybe duo/trio you can easily observe that some players are extremely bad at this easy game compared to others. And I've raided at a high level in a modern MMO (ESO) with high APM action-combat, practicing my rotation for countless hours on a dummy, log reviews and trying to optimize every second of a raid. I love that play style, but I also feel very challenged soloing on my chanter on p99, which is obviously 1000 times less mechanically intense but can take a lot more smarts and quick thinking, depending on what you're doing.
