thats one thing about pantheon, enchanters feel more like classic. lots of p99 players btiching on reddit about how come enchanters dont have charm. like in their mind the classic EQ experience is every group having a charmed mob to trivialize content that would otherwise be challenging.

i went from playing an enchanter on p99 to playing an enchanter on pantheon over night and i honestly enjoy the pantheon experience more. even with no charmed pet they added a ton of finesse to the class, like we over here stealing mana from mobs to give it to our group members, CCing is way more impactful (a single add will wipe a group), we have fancy tools to survive, in an ability that drops our aggro when mobs is lighting us up. also interrupting/silencing/spell stealing is a critical role in this game and literally no one does it better than enchanter, you can literally steal the most powerful spell in the game and cast it on your group.

like imagine playing WoW if a priest could steal OP spells like bloodlust from a random mob and cast it on his group. this is a real thing on pantheon. but its on a huge cool down and it can be tricky to pull off since mobs spam a lot of useless spells and you only have 5 seconds to re-cast the spell after you steal it.

Try bartering/extortion. They ask for anything and you tell them you want "family time" in return(that way it doesn't count as rmt ROFL).

Idk if a new server would offer anything different if enchanter charm remains as powerful as it is. The meta is enchanter and everything in support of them

I only six man so I've never seen the issue with bringing mana, crowd control, slow, mega DPS and loads of xp to the hard working denizens of norrath. Is there a way to make then less soloable without screwing up the party? Maybe just make it so charm pets don't hold aggro at all?

Some players today might be the grown-up infants and toddlers I would hear yaorling in the background as their mother healed me.

It would be kewl if things took a step forward, and today players just rig their kids toys to macros.
