ppl know so little about firearms, even you would prefer the m60 successor m240 over the clunky heavy innacurate m60, if you're really tryin to play with an LMG you'd pick the m249 really.

but at the end of the day even a bolt action deer rifle spits bullets

then you have to deal with knowing shit like this exists:

That seems like it would jam pretty easily.

Magpul FMG-9

it's pretty slick.

after all your engineering tolerances are met jamming is really only a matter of feed rate vs cyclic rate and a few other factors like ammo quality and dirt in the system.

just curious why you think it would jam easily? the magazine is in the grip and when you fold the FMG closed its not different than removing the magazine from an auto handgun

I didn't think the foldy part was more than a brace.

nah the whole lower receiver folds with the stock

that thing is so concealable that it shouldn't have even been invented

any regular joe wouldn't even think it's a sub-machine gun if it was sitting on a table or even being carried in public folded up

Isn't it a fancy pistol?

well essentially every-sub machine gun is a fancy pistol

or every pistol is a simple sub-machine gun

they mostly use the same ammo, and the only difference between that and an auto-pistol (think beretta or m1911, not revolvers) is that the auto-pistol is designed to be semi-automatic for balance, there are full auto glocks and shit but after 4-5 rounds of auto fire you're aiming at the sky

in firearms automatic can mean multiple rounds per trigger pull, or automatic rechambering

that fmg-9 has a cyclic fire rate of 1200 rounds per minute, but with a switch on the lower receiver it will be semi-automatic

this is what i mean when the gun debate is so murky, to me its no firearms at all for civilians, or STFU government

I don't see the real effective difference between a deer rifle and an AR-15, whatever you wanna do with it is a matter of skill

so you have to take them all away or go away
