I wish I knew military tactics. All I know is hunting and Greek / Roman warfare

Do you guys think people would respect the rules of hoplite warfare in the event of a collapse? If so, my commune might work fairly well

there are aspects of savagery that humans have forgotten

one example is the phrase, "the spoils of war" never had anything to do with plunder and gold, that all belonged to the king.

how would you motivate 1000 serf farmers to go to war for their lord, when all lands and property conquered belonged to the king?

"the spoils of war" is a reference to the women and children of conquered lands.

i most certainly am not the "cool guy"

I pity them, looking down upon anyone who accepts the title.

You ever hear Clint Eastwood refer to anyone, forget himself, anyone as a "cool guy"?

Nah but I don’t look to movies to influence my idea of what’s cool.

Hey you say you do your own research- ever hear of confirmation bias?
