![]() I'm not religious myself but I think it's pretty undeniable at this point that when you remove traditional religion from society there's still a religion-shaped hole that something must fill, and there's no guarantee it will be something benevolent or enlightened. It's always funny seeing a crazy lefty ranting against the invisible sky god and the dumb pleb christians and then insisting they were "born in the wrong body", which is an insanely metaphysical claim for an athiest to make. Frankly the devout christians I know seem much saner and grounded in reality, not to mention kinder, than the edgy athiest leftists.
