Default Jousting as a Warrior

Hey Guys,

Currently trying to figure out the optimal way to pvp on my warrior. I'm trying to decide btwn my CSS + Shimmering Partisan combo vs Staff of Battle. Dual wield seems to get more hits in per round however SoB hits a lot harder. I'm also trying to figure out the best strategy for dueling in close quarters. Would it be best to leave auto attack off and then pop it on when the enemy get close? I haven't really seen that much info on this and would like some vets to weigh in on it.

Cheers,
Vokhine

How good you are at actually doing it

lag

your location in the world compared to the servers

your skill in 2hb

also dont forget 2h weapons miss 80% of the time for most people or hit below 50 dmg.

find a buddy and see what works best for you. lag/ping can affect jousting some. some people scroll out of fpv.... hold right click to move sideways/maneuver around and avoid attacks. definitely don't leave attack on unless someone is standing still casting. depending on lvl/gear warriors can be somewhat weak compared to burst damage like a wizard. and like...dispel any dots ofcourse. gl

Dex makes you hit more in PvP, as well as proc more.

Definitely scroll all the way out from first person view.

When jousting, try raising the camera up so you can look down on yourself and your opponent a little bit (hold right click and drag upward). Seeing myself and my target from a higher angle helps me time jousts more easily and intuitively.

Make a macro that does the following:
/attack on
/pause 3
/attack off

This lets you tap one button while you are in range to do a round of attacks. If autoattack is on and you're not in range, you're wasting dual wield rounds.

Make a joust button. It should be a key that activates several hot buttons, which should include: the above attack on/off macro; Disarm; and possibly Bash and/or Kick. When you hit this one joust button, you'll simultaneously autoattack and do any of these abilities that are up.

all points into dex, use a bow for crits so u can evade jousting, keep a 2h skilled up for those moments where u need to joust (situational and necesary). Dual wield against caster classes or if u got someone malod+tashed+snared but soon u can forget about that situation in velious gear. U need all if u want to excel, u gotta swap.
