Default Butcherblock Aqua Goblins cash loot

(I am going to post my entire post from 2013 here just for consistency/laziness however, The Mac page seems to be dead now. -- https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=103211 there was discussion that these items werent added until later but i dont think that is the case. This was a classic camp from what i remember, though and i think the allakhazam posts will indicate that, maybe someone better than i knows where to find more official information)

I apologize for the half assed bug report, i am at work, but upon some reminiscing, it Dawned on me...

The Aqua Goblin Camps in Butcherblock mountains was where i used to farm money on my druid back on Live... all of these posts are from pre 2003, which i believe is when they nerfed the camp... maybe even later...

There were 4 items believe that all sold for 5p each, 2 of these items were stackable, i think steins and goblin heads were the ones that didnt stack... (not sure been a long time)

I think the only thing they actually nerfed was the price that merchants bought the items that were dropped.

Not sure how badly P99 needs more Platinum farms in the mix, but might be nice for the new peeps/low levels, also... its(was) a LEGIT plat farm

I believe (can't show proof) that the high loot goblins were added later, and then nerfed in 2003.

In your link the June 2003 mentions the aqua goblins having been around for "a few months", i.e. possibly after the P99 timeline.

I'm 100% sure these items are related to newbie armor quests which were introduced with the Legacy of Yeksha expansion. So these items should never exist on P99.

https://web.archive.org/web/20021223...h.shtml?id=188 gives some clues as to when people start (august 2002) mentioning the plat farm that these goblins turned into:

I don't know how long things will stay this way, but these guys are a plat fountain right now. Their bones (usually backbone and tibia) are worth multiple platinum each. I've suddenly seen a lot more 15th - 30th level chars in Butcherblock, and they're camping the Aqua Goblin Marauders. No xp, but you can make some $$$.
If anyone "upstairs" is really paying attention to the player economy, some serious nerfing will happen soon.
