Old Pc New Issue

Setting up a EQ only station and dug out an old PC. Updated the files to v60 but when I try to connect to p99 the game crashes. I can connect to other servers just not p99. Last time I was on this machine it played just fine...

CPU: Intel i5-10400@2.9
RAM: 16G @ 2667
GPU: GeForce 1660 Super

Would you be able to go into more detail?

Are you getting any kind of error message on crash?

Are you crashing at server select or from character select?

Move all files with a character’s name, log or .ini to a back up location and try again.

I can make it to server select Every time but when I hit enter world on any P99 owned server the screen goes black and for a few seconds and then it kicks me back to the login screen. But I can connect to EZ server and others on the list with no issues.

Are you using Full Screen mode? You can try changing things to windowed and checking your resolution settings. In your main EQ directory is eqclient.ini you can open with a text editor and look for the following:

WindowedMode=TRUE

FullscreenBitsPerPixel=32
FullscreenRefreshRate=0
