Default Solo Monk Weight

I tried searching but did not find any questions/answers pertaining to this:

As a solo monk, does the weight compound against your AC meaning if I go over 14.9, will I suffer the same penalty if I was at 16 versus say 75 weight.

And for soloing is it worth just eating the loss AC to farm more cash or do most monks agree to just stay below your weight allowance and sell if you're about to go over?

(I plan to start killing guards and fine steel weighs alot so was seeing if its worth the cash to just go over the weight, I know it'd matter if I was in a group and tanking but figure I'd ask the veterans advice.)

the more weight, the less AC you have over the cap

it's a pretty big difference between being under and over the cap

Get weight reduction bags ASAP. Buy gems from vendors and resell to condense silver/gold into plat. Try not to carry more than 100-150pp at a time.

Some questions:

1.) Is it a big drop off when you first go over 14.9, or is steady the whole way up. i.e. is the difference between 14.9-15.9 greater than say the different between 15.9-16.9 or is it the same.

2.) Do pure melee classes need to carry around drink for any reason?
