Kelin's Lucid Lullaby

So I have been just starting to kite some larger packs on my bard and I am a bit confused about grabbing packs with casters. I just picked up Kelin's Lucid Lullaby and grabbed a few mobs from another camp and then ran by to lull the caster in the next camp and it seemed to start casting on me as I ran through to add the mobs to the pack. Do I need to have higher charisma or am I just not understanding the mechanics of the spell?

Lucid Lullaby is the ae mez spell - you're thinking of Kelin's Lugubrious Lament. The lull has a 12 second duration so you have to be pretty quick about grabbing the mobs around him. Additionally mobs will still agro if you run over the top of them or other mobs in your kite run through them.
