Default Mob push / caster interruption

I recently read in a thread that pushing a mob to interrupt no longer works. I’ve been out of the game for a while… is this true?

Further, I don’t recall this ever changing back in the day, but perhaps I simply never knew!

Yeah push interupt doesn't work anymore, at least not reliably
A mob can move several feet while gating and it still gates. Bash interupt also extremely unreliable.

Yea push is dead. Slams/bash and spells for those you can. Gotta sieve and blow up the rest at low Hps.

Push to Interrupt doesn't work in most zones. It still seems to work in a few zones. Like in WL, the Giant Clerics can be pushed to interrupt casting. Most zones however this doesn't work anymore.

I've found better success moving the mob sideways. IE: if youre tanking, and the mob starts casting, hop to 90 degrees to the side of the mob and continue attacking.

it seems to work more than forward/backward push, FWIW
