![]() Has anyone else had this issue in the last few days?
I have a samsung galaxy s10. The youtube app that came pre-installed on it that I've used for years suddenly no longer has a search function at the top. If they moved it, I can't find it anywhere. There's no little magnifying glass icon thing indicating search anywhere. All there is is a big horizontal list of stuff I've already watched, in case I wanna watch it again. If I want to actually make a new search now, I have to open an instance of chrome and go to google and search "youtube cat videos" or whatever and then tap the links which will then open that video *in* the youtube app. If I try updating the youtube app it says it's already up to date... Wtf? Posting here cause when I google the issue it's a bunch of reddit posts from like a year+ ago and this only began happening 2 days ago.

![]() it's probably still there just under another section don't give up hope !
that said discord got weird and wonky on my s9, the edge is zoomed in a lil on the emojis selectors [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] and seems no way to hold and press to change skin colors.

![]() I also noticed that youtube on desktop suddenly has a drastically different layout, with recommended videos now below the video you're watching and comments and the title and description over to the right.... which makes the phrase "comment down below" make no sense now. Wondering if this is somehow related to my app no longer having a search function, or at least not one that I can find anywhere.
Why must they fix things that are not even remotely broken? Dorks.

![]() I dunno what everyone's smoking but I've still got comments underneath the video on desktop. It's only tablet where I see comments to the side of it.
Everyone's better off using Firefox (etc) with an adblocker and using it through a browser than eating ads on the app every few minutes on mobile.

![]() Well apparently youtube now considers this same computer I've always used it on a "tablet".
Sad! | ||

![]() Nah it's just a shitty asus laptop. I think youtube just changed the native resolution that it considers a "tablet" so now this is a tablet. Although it seemingly has no relation to why my search bar disappeared in the app version of youtube on my cellphone.

![]() Also, are tablets actually good? I've never quite understood why they exist. It's just a big cellphone screen that you can touch stuff on, right?

No ads. Search at the top. Only negative is it does not obey earbud clicks, must click screen.
