Default Bristlebane thread

Bristlebane: The King of Thieves

Quote:
Coming to Norrath with the second wave of gods in The Elder Age, Fizzlethorp Bristlebane made the Halflings, short and stubby folk, agile and with a propensity to meddle and even pilfer at times.

Followers of Bristlebane believe in having fun, at the expense of nearly all else. Bards, Rogues, jesters, gamblers, and gypsies are all typical followers. They are almost always very charming, clever, and witty, traits which all Bristbane followers should strive to have. Mischief in all its forms is encouraged. Practical jokes are performed as if they are the highest of rituals. Very few of Bristlebane's followers are outright wicked in their desires but it is best to keep at least one eye on your purse if they are about. And never let one deal you a hand of King's Court.

Bristlebane is especially close with Brell Serilis -- something about short followers perhaps?

Followers of Bristlebane are almost invariably Rogues, Halflings, or, to be honest, frequently both. (Some Bards of a sneakier bent also talk of him in hushed whispers.) You could say that every Rogue guild is in fact his temple, but he has a real one in Rivervale. He has Clerics there, but no Paladins; he seems inherently uninterested or incapable of fostering the required valor or honor. Finally, his worship seems to have gotten a toehold among a few of the already small number of Gnome Clerics of Ak'Anon, but fortunately doesn't seem to have spread to the main populace yet. Bristlebane devotees with tinkering and firework abilities is a horrifying thought.
Interestingly, halflings DID get paladins later but they were required to worship Karana, the rain god instead of their true lord.

Never get involved these stores have insurance.

I am aware of organized crime but let cops figure it out.

Being a cowboy(southern)/vigilante(northern) just gets you killed.

Support your capitol policy even if one side says you shouldn't.

What happens when they have insurance and incur losses?

Gnomes are also way more sneaky than stea;ly and Bristlebane isn't really the king of stealing more like stealth and stealing is a subdomain of that.

Don't worry, people have car insurance, which means there are infinite cars.

Oops another store closed citing theft, and yet they had insurance! How?????
