Default Why do people call it Green 2.0?

Isn't green 1.0 just Blue 2.0?

And following that, the new server be 3.0?

Just curious

because green was the first server to execute the timeline roughly "on schedule" (the content was in development during blue's timeline, and released as-available, instead of accurately reproducing the correct era-to-era timeline durations)

blue is like the "alpha server", green is the "beta server" (or "release candidate"), and green 2.0 will be in theory the first "official release" where the entire timeline has already been played out and tested in order, and it's just a matter of it being released again

How sick would it be if P99 actually executed the "Recycle 99" gameplan and released new servers on time in sync with original timeline and dumped into blue and restarted as soon as end of timeline was reached each time? No more sitting at a deadend for years at a time. Constant stream of progression. No extended stale periods and allowing servers to get extremely topheavy. Would be pretty sweet imo

That's the dream! Just hope they learned how to better smooth out the first month's surge of players.

They still might? We haven't actually hit Luclin yet in the timeline (though we are super close) and at launch it was suggested it would recycle 6 months after Chardok 2.0 which would put the recycle in January, a few months after the timeline where Luclin launches.

There's no easy solution to that problem really besides just launching an overflow server then merging later like they did with Green/Teal. Which honestly is probably fine? I don't know how much work that is for them to do but if they do that every new launch it'll probably be good enough. I personally wouldn't be opposed to bumping up spawn rates on lower lvl zones temporarily so people don't have to literally camp individual spawn points and wait for repops or anything stupid like that. Is it really going to have any lasting negative impact to the server if decaying skeletons and fire beetles spawn super fast for the first few days?

there cant be a green 2.0, only a new server in general. splitting the player base even more. seeing as the merging green and blue would be a disaster.
