He was eating 10,000 calories a day. I wonder if the people feeding him that felt any guilt as enablers

World’s strongest arm wrestler at 18 compared to now:

I dunno man, I’ve heard how hard you breathe in a normal conversation, I don’t think you are all that much safer than poor Carl above was…

This is a cool idea, happened in Britain

On the show my 600lb life, people always have the excuse “I have to bring him/her food because if I don’t, someone else will”

…Then let it be someone fucking else

Not fair, my wife just shoots up Ozempic to stay thin, and I've got to train and monitor what I eat because I don't trust what that shit does long term.

Other than, I suppose, lowering your risk of cardiac death in exchange for $$$

ozempic is not as much of a magic pill as some are saying. I haven’t studied it extensively, but from what I heard it slows down the passage of food through the digestive tract to produce that satiated feeling

When you slow food passing through the digestive tract, you open up a bunch of possible GI side effects and risks, the most serious (but most rare) being a life-threatening blockage

Some people also think they can just take ozempic and eat whatever they want, which obviously isn’t true, it only changes satiety. And when people stop taking it, they tend to put the weight back on

It’s been tempting for me to try, but I don’t mind the hollow hunger ache that comes along with dieting as much as most people. Once I’m in that state, I tell myself that my body is now eating fat stores for energy, when it wasn’t before when I wasn’t hungry. This makes the uncomfortable feeling more “worth it”

Discipline is insidious, running on that feeling piles it on and feels fucking good.
