Curious about whether outdoor LoS is removable or not.
As we all remember, outdoor zones had no line of sight for casting. No mountains or height changes or anything else would give you los problems and it worked both ways as dragons / enemy casters could also hit anyone in range of their abilities regardless of position.
So is the reason this was never addressed because the Titanium client simply won't allow outdoor zones = no LOS coding change? or did it slip under the radar? Love roks

There are spells that have no LoS check outdoors like Dispel line of spells and clickies
I dont know whats classic though, never played any caster classes back in the day

Actually, when I say there is NO line of sight check in outdoor zones , i mean for literally every spell in the game -- the only exceptions that would cause a spell failure is using a bolt direct damage spell and having the bolt hit the (lets say a sand dune in north ro) instead of the monster on the other side.
EVERY spell that is not a bolt style direct damage spell ignored ALL terrain and only required the caster to be in range. Again this was outdoor zones only.

Suggest finding evidence to corroborate that. Not calling you a liar, probably true. Bound to be posts of people talking about spell casting outdoors

I know quarm doesn't have LOS. Being based on an older client I'd be inclined to agree LOS isn't classic. It sure doesn't feel classic to me primarily playing casters back in the day.
The most annoying part of it is when you can clearly see the mob but unable to still cast

LOS is one thing that really hamstrings casters on P99. I remember LOS never being a thing in classic - kunark, especially in outdoor zones. I can't recall about indoor. I do know for a fact that you did not need LOS for attacking other players, indoor or outdoor. Ahh the good old days... nuking some poor melee and they didn't even know where to find you.

LOS is borked on p99, classic or not
Live didn't have these issues, yes, but p99 even if trying to be real on this, its fubar'd will get "can't see" messages because of some tiny statue in the far left or right of my view, or a doorway that has a minor step up or down. So annoying
