Thumbs up Is this for real!?!? I am so excited!!

Holy hell... I've just stumbled upon this watching and reliving my EQ days on youtube....

I played Classic/Kunark - Planes of Power... I had a badass Monk and necromancer on brell serials....

My friend and I are thinking of starting up playing again.... Anything I should be aware of? Do I really have to redo the epic quest again?? That took me like 40 days. HAHA!

by the way,... is this playable via a Mac? I do have VMware Fusion running windows as well, but it's always easier to just run things within the Mac.

On setup:

2) Getting Started - Play Guide

In order to play on Project 1999 you must obtain a copy of Everquest: Titanium Edition. Only a clean Titanium install will work. See our FAQ for more information.

Hi Zscwarmiller,

Welcome. The server is real and currently in Kunark. I'm not sure about playing on a Mac. You should remove that link in your third post, it's against policy.

I am thinking the answer to play on a mac would be know since its the original EQ 1999 version and didn't support mac back then... I will have to run it on windows on the mac [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Project 1999 plans on running only Classic, Kunark, and Velious. If you'd like to play Classic through Planes of Power, EQmac (specifically designed to run on mac!) is now free-to-play. Its an SOE managed server, its free, and it goes up through Planes of Power.

However, if you'd like to stick with C/K/V, then the guide posted on our forums should help get you set up:

Good luck, and welcome back to our world now! (tm)

Fantastic! Thank you... I don't prefer POP... That's when I quit last time because I did not like it... I will stick with this [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Most people do not have CDs of EQ titanium. The common method does involve a software emulated CD drive however, so you may need that for the initial install.
