Spent some time at our son's home with his amazing family. Grand kids are awesome. Not a gnome among em tho.

Went trekking on this big gay glacier today. Brought whisky and made used glacial ice to make one on rocks during lunch. Tour guide said that was a first for him.

I was taught with good scotch you get like a few drops of water on your fanger and dribble em in there.

But if I buy scotch, I get the inexpensive kind. Monkey Shoulder was the last one I got, I think. I do think I drank it neat.

I miss drinking.

You’re probably right. I’ve always enjoyed it neat

I’ve not been able to avoid a hangover no matter what I do since I was like 30 so I haven’t been much of a drinker for a while. Still like a good beer or scotch though. I drink cabs and Pinot noirs and Malbecs on occasion because that’s what my wife likes as well

I know many tricks for avoiding hangovers and curing hangovers if you want tips from a veteran alcoholic.

My wife prefers cabernets, but if we can get a good bordeaux she is game. If liquor, cognac.

Neither of us have drank since June, now. Too many meds for her, so I stopped in solidarity.

Drove 6 hours today up into the desolate north of Iceland. Shit feels like Mars up here, except it’s cold, rainy, and windy as fuck. Rewarded ourselves with some fresh local Icelandic lamb. Bomb!
