Who really made the roads in Feerrott?
I noticed that the roads are wayyy to small for any ogre and it hit me, these ogres never built these roads! A single ogre foot is larger than the roads!
[You must be logged in to view images. Did the lizardmen use to own Oggok but if so why are the holes the ogres use as housing soo large? Why not have a road to their temple? It couldn't of been the lizardmen but then who made them? There is only one explanation! BROWNIES! A long lost race of brownies must of traveled through here. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Well, creating and maintaining a trail requires a bit of organization, or everyone tending to take the path of least resistance (see desire path on Wikipedia), and I doubt ogres are smart enough to travel single file like the sand people, organized enough to follow trails like a bee, or clever/delicate enough to take the path of least resistance. The idea of bushwhacking through the jungle every time you set out seems perfectly Ogrish to me.

Freeport used to have a much more extensive sphere of power.
I think Sgt. Slate used to patrol from Rathe Mountains through Feerrott, through Innothule, and then through the deserts to commonlands. When giants moved into the deserts of Ro, Slate said fuck this, I'm too close to retirement to get whacked by a dumb giant with a spoon.

There are no paths in the Feerrott, merely desire lines?

Ogres used to be smarter. Provably remnants of whatever was there prior.

Whoever formed paths in Norrath was completely wasted anyway, not one of em take the straight path and they always weave back and forth.

Didn't ogres control a vast empire before they got hit with a curse and made stupid?
