Doesn’t allow you to commit crimes with impunity, moreso seems like the cop version of the Good Samaritan law which says if you get hurt while I am doing appropriate rescue methods, I am not responsible

Otherwise if qualified immunity applied to everything I imagine a cop could rob a bank and then go on a shooting spree and kill 30 people then radio in “hey sergeant I’m gonna go ahead and invoke qualified immunity on this one”
