Character Stuck in a Pool >.<
At first, I thought it was due to having too much bag/item weight on her. So I ran back to the corpse with nothing and jumped in to get her.
Except I could not stay above water again.. sank right down even though I had nothing on me. Drowned again. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? (Go easy on me, hadn't swam in EQ in many years)[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

In EQ, it’s harder to get out of pools in corners. Corners are bad. You want a nice straight edge to climb out of the pool on perpendicularly.
Other things that prevent you from getting out of pools include: ducking, being short, not looking up enough (with page up key) like the above poster said. Which pool?

The direction you're looking will determine where you swim to. If you're facing up you will swim to the top of the water if you're facing down you will swim to the bottom, as far as I know character weight doesn't play a role at all.
You have 2 options: I find its easier to swim in first person view. If you scroll the mouse wheel all the way up to first person then you will swim directly where your camera is facing, if you're looking at the surface you will swim to the surface (side note when exiting water you want to look all the way up to jump out, if the surface is too high you might have to find another point of exit from the water) In third person view you can use the page up and page down keys to swim up towards the surface or down into the water.

You are probably ducking. Look up the duck hot key and press that
