I honestly really hope no new people read the OP while trying to decide on a class to play. It’s really bad advice

All content in Everquest can be easily conquered with 15 Clerics and 35 warriors - all other classes are "optional tier" and not needed for literally anything but to make the warriors and clerics kill stuff faster. Hope this helps with your tier list

But again, it is just his opinion even though I disagree with like 60 percent of the things

on his tier list

Bard is in my opinion the single worst class in the game 50+ (On Green - they OK on Blue), and I have a level 60 Epic Bard

1) Huge hybrid XP penalty that kills group gains
2) Shit tier charm that lasts 15 seconds, slows down kill times due to waiting on charm to break, and drains healer mana because the fucking Bard thinks he is so cool charming and then absorbing 5+ hits on every pull with bad mitigation
3) Mez has a retard level limit (52?) - makes them useless in CCing for a good deal of content.
4) Shit tier DPS
5) Cant play Cantina and melee DPS so they usually just sing and leech XP
6) The people who play them think they are some sort of genius at EQ because they are doing more than auto-attacking when the reality is they are dead weight to the group because of the XP penalty.
7) Have you ever actually tried swarm kiting? Its AIDS

A Bard can make a shitty group functional, but at that point, you should just disband the group and start over IMO. The only redeeming quality of a Bard is Selos and Health/Mana Regen and many classes do it just as good w/o a 40% penalty.

Also once you are accustomed to traveling at Selos speed every other class feels terrible to play so in a way it ruins all of EQ once you have tasted the Bard life.
