The great lull nerf is also coming. It will be bitter sweet, but classic.
If so, little overdue. We've been trying to get them to fix lull for going on 15 years to no effect.

What was the lull/pacify nerf? Haven’t played in a while but it will affect me if I ever do

Currently pacify is 2mins
.
I understand the plan is to make it 7 mins again, but with a greatly increased resist rate

Could be fun,I had one bad run with 5 crit resists in 7 casts. If that becomes the norm it'll basically be unusable.

AE paci (wake of tranquility) is still 7 min duration, but it has a much higher mana cost and a much longer re-use cooldown which you can't skip with a top slot GCD reset.

Sometimes you get lucky though, and it actually hits 3-4 mobs you want to all be pacied, and it doesn't get resisted. In those rare cases it's actually more mana efficient and quicker than regular paci.

More often than not though, it's a headache and you get unpredictable crit resists on mobs you didn't even know you were gonna hit.

Ima be honest because I don’t play anymore and really don’t care, but I can’t recall ever getting a pacify crit resist in what felt like hundreds and hundreds of casts. But that mighta been because I always went after low-ish blues and had 255 cha

I do hear that pacify crit resists are dangerous if not death. Gotta be fast on that aoe stun as the group comes and hope your absorb holds through the bash

Yeah at 255cha on mobs at least ten levels below you crit resists are relatively rare. Parts of seb\chardok\velks though its basically a guarantee.

I only rolled my enc last year, having never played the class before and I kinda embrace the dying at this point haha.

Regarding aoe pacify, how can you tell which mobs it landed on when they have the same name? I only use it to bomb a feigned cluster when harmony isn't available or when the mobs are too high level for single target pacify (aoe has a higher max level)
