Pretty horrible the richest country in the world is held back by one party that keeps the rich richer and the poor starving and uneducated.
You could argue that helping the poor unmotivates them to get educated, work or better themselves but the same can be said about keeping them poor giving them less of a chance to dig themselves out since social programs and safety nets are cut; to help the rich get a tax break.
And 70% tax rate on the rich doesn’t unmotivate them to try to get more money. Everyone wants more money.
And statics already show trickle down is BS

Part of the reason we are in the mess that we are is the assumption that simply throwing more money at a complex issue like homelessness is a solution
People become more and more reluctant to just throw money at a problem when they see that previous money spent is not fixing things
All these systems are connected. One assumption that is a safe assumption is the more uneducated homeless people you pack into an area, such as millions coming across the border, the more nearby cities infrastructure will buckle under the load
And since these systems are already buckling under our own citizen’s needs, adding millions more to me seems like a recipe for disaster
When freakin Gavin Newsom, champion of the sanctuary city concepts, is begging the federal gov’t to do something, we are getting pretty fucked
