It was 21 degrees today, which felt warm compared to the low of -2 that it was a couple days ago when I woke up.

21f and-2f are both well below freezing mind you, but 21f is like a balmy freezing

Yeah once you get around 0 it starts to actually feel cold. I'm in Minnesota and right now a 25+ day is a nice day.

Anyone living in an area where you don't really see seasons mind explaining that? I can't imagine not living with the seasons.

Just posted this on FB too:

Some random dude at the gym just walked up to me and said “are you [name redacted]?” And after I said yea, he said “from Australia?” And obviously he could tell as I answered without the accent l that I wasn’t. I told him “how weird to get the name right though!” I have only talked to one other person regularly and that was a month+ ago, so no way he could have overheard my name…

Maybe it’s really undercover FBI who doesn’t like my memes and is closing in…

Oh yeah and this happened yesterday

My co-worker and I stopped during downtime at a Mexican food truck for some authentic carne asada tacos. I like supporting struggling food truck business, or buying Mexican corn called elote (so fuckin good) from street vendors

When I buy from poor Mexicans, I tip fatty. This Mexican lady saw it and asked me if I could buy her a taco. Had she asked for money I woulda told her to go fuck herself but food, sure. I bought her a taco

After we finish eating and are driving away, I see her throwing it up in the parking lot. Co-worker said she was probably withdrawing from H. I was a little disappointed, wanted to say “hey lady that was $3 you better eat that shit”

Co-woker's wife came home from the hospital after a nasty bout with COVID. The whole family was unvaxxed and they all got it over Christmas/New Years. Everyone seemed to get better after 4-5 days, but then she took a turn for the worse and had to go in.

Met up with some friends and played outdoor hockey like real Minnesotans do.

Don’t do business with the Turks dude. They will be removed and sent back to Mongolia for their many crimes

Pobodys Nerfect. And it’s nice to be in a Muslim country that isn’t super Muslim. Yeah they got calls to prayer waking me up every morning, but it’s easy to find a beer, I’ve found a few great live music bars, and the women all dress how they want.

Plus the food and tea is amazing. Speaking of tea, as I pack my bags I’m looking apprehensively at the couple hundred grams of vacuum sealed mint ginger tea I bought. Wonder if I’ll get “randomly selected” for additional bag screening lol.

It’s just tea officer I swear!
