Ya some decent points, has been discussed quite a bit

But in regards to Jan 6, I bet none of those rioters even know what the electoral college is…

Maybe these Libs believe the real world works like Civilization, get a unit in the capital tile and you now control the entire country. Hadn’t considered this angle…

I think the problem I have with politics is instead of getting rid of the broken shit, and starting new ideas to replace it, we think we need to keep all the broken shit, and keep dumping more shit on top of it until it eventually is so big that its fixed.

“ While environmentalists clamor for trillions of dollars in public investment in clean energy infrastructure … we’ve made it nearly impossible to build in America. Strict regulation sounds like a good thing for the environment … Unfortunately, however, our regulatory framework goes far beyond basic protection of the environment. Take, for example, the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), which is the environmental review process for major infrastructure projects. Introduced over half a century ago in 1970, its goal is to ensure that these kinds of projects cause minimal environmental harm.
In reality, NEPA is a labyrinthine process that severely hamstrings important infrastructure projects. On average, it takes 4.5 years and $4.2 million to complete the review process … This is a huge deterrence to potential projects that could modernize our country’s infrastructure and reduce emissions. It’s not a coincidence that NEPA is the most litigated environmental statute in the United States. Consider that 42% of all energy projects currently backlogged under NEPA are clean energy projects. Only 15% are fossil fuel projects. Yet several months ago, President Biden rolled back Trump-era reforms to NEPA that would’ve expedited the review process. Manchin recently sided with Senate Republicans to nullify the move, though it is unlikely to pass the House. We’re arbitrarily holding back clean energy projects that could reduce emissions.”

Does this theory make it legal to intimidate or attack protestors who were themselves peaceful at the time?

Like mob justice? These are bad people promoting bad ideas so we get to attack them with sticks and bear mace? This is “progress”? Sounds primitive to me
ah, yes. We should allow people who think half the population shouldnt exist to spread their hate. Good idea. See how that worked in ww2 until people finally stopped hitler. Look up the paradox of tolerance and if youre not too stupid to understand, it will help you.

It’s tough, and harkens back to the lost “war on drugs”. While making drugs more difficult to get and use through policing does not stop, or even significantly slow, hard illegal drug use (though this could be a method of policing issue), throwing proverbial hands in the air and completely giving up on making it more difficult to use certainly DOES cause an increase in total use

So, like the war on drugs, having a rule of “don’t do this thing or you’ll go to jail” might only prevent like 5-10% of that thing. So yea, it might not be the best approach

I’m still personally advocating the contraceptive-pushing, and encouraging traditional values (wait for the right partner and time kinda thing) route. Another possible inadvertent method of lowering contraception rates is to keep getting more and more teens depressed, then pushing pharmacological solutions to their depression on them. SSRI’s are notorious for having a side effect of lowering sex drive, but nothing kills it like screwing with hormone medication tho
now i see the problem. You have no clue about anything. The war on drugs is just a continuation of slavery. The government pumped drugs into poor, black and brown communities to finance contra and other stupid shit. Then ramped up prosecution of those people.

Drug use is not a criminal issue, its a health issue.

So the GOP thinks half the country’s people shouldn’t exist?

Seems like you’re the one thinking that

Don’t forget to check in with your probation officer and take your meds. Tell your Antifa chapter I said hi
