The Lost Age

A bards tale passed down from Itunz to Modd to You!

In a time of old, when magic roamed the land,
And races thrived in their own unique band;
The empire of Elves held sway 'cross southeastern Tunaria,
Its grand city Takish-Hiz, a shining beacon to marvel at.

Elddar Forest spread its verdant arms wide,
With tree communities and marble cities abide;
The white spires stretched high into the sky,
As if defying nature's laws with pride divine.

But alas, all things must come to an end,
And jealous Solusek Ro did not befriend;
He arched the spine of The Serpent Mountains,
Bringing heat from sun that burned like fountains.

The rains diminished and rivers ran dry,
Despite the Druids' magic to forestall nigh;
And so the forest bowed beneath its fate,
As Elves abandoned Tunaria, their home of great estate.

Humankind rose from the ashes of Combine Empire’s fall,
Taking solace in Karana's fertile sprawl;
Villages sprouted and towns grew strong,
Two even gained renown as cities among the throng.

Qeynos was founded on lofty principles by noble Antonius Bayle,
Whose legacy lives on through the city’s regal appeal;
Freeport too, to the east, became an active, dangerous port of call,
Humanity daring to name their home after one of their own, not a god at all.

Tunaria transformed into Antonica under the dominion of men,
As humanity's strength grew, it brought competition again;
Scattered groups abandoned alliances in search of resources rare,
Reminding leaders of their former glory and Combine Empire’s might,

With tales from explorers and adventurers of creatures and ancient cities,
The discontent minority became determined, even more jealous it be;
Knowledge of sorcery and mystic arts they sought to acquire,
To claim power once again, as their ancestors in the past did admire.

And thus evolves the tale of The Lost Age,
A time of magic and strife on a vast engaging stage;
Where races rose and fell, empires were made,
As the fabric of history weaved its intricate tapestry in Tunaria's shade.
