Default P1999 PC

Hi all,

Could anyone please give me some advice on a PC for P1999 please. I gave my gaming PC to my son so I am just left with a case, monitor, keyboard and mouse. I only want to be able to browse the met and download movies and play P1999 with my new PC but do not want to spend a lot of cash on the new one. will it be possible to get up and running for £100 - £150ish or should I just get second hand PC of eBay ?

Thanks in advance

considering you need a CPU, GPU, MOBO, PSU, Memory, Optical drive, etc etc...$150 is gonna be a stretch to get one up and running...

You can get a decent APU from AMD for around $55 (the A6) it will run EQ flawlessly

depending on the case configuration, you can get an FM2 mobo to run that APU for around another $55

4 gig of ram around $35

decent PSU around $50

optical drive around $20

that's like 210 USD, which is what 140 or so pounds?

Its doable..with the right purchases. Just look around on newegg, amazon etc..

You can buy complete/full systems on newegg.com for the price range your talking that will run EQ with no issues, especially if your checking their daily deals.

I don't know the shipping concerns for you though being non US based.

Tankh,

check out the PM Turp sent me, likely meant it for you:

also check Newegg.com
Daily they have different shell shocker sales + lots of cheap computers on sale.
Like you can buy just a tower that is complete ready to play EQ for 200$ . If wait till they put one on shell shocker can prob hit 150$ .
Check it out.
Good luck.
Two examples i looked up quickly.
There are plenty others
For just EQ / Older games but max graphics still.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16883156114
or if you want to play even the newest games like dragon age.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16883281171
All kinds of deals like that on there check it out.

If you are not comfortable choosing the right MOBO for your case, or applying and setting a CPU with paste etc..go this route
