Maybe you guys just have EQ fatigue? I don't understand the doomer attitude, I came back early 2024 and had a blast getting a chanter to 60 and then made a ranger and I'm also having a blast.

I don't know about y'all but I certainly don't miss the days of having 55 people in KC and killing 12 mobs an hour in a full group.

^^^^^ Precisely. I prefer being able to have a casual time these days as opposed to having to poop sock an exp camp. So do many of the people that still play - which is alot. Green Server was up over 600 players consistently this weekend.

I often see 800+ on weekend evenings.

At 4h30am there's usually 230players no matter what so there's probably ~150 players that are permanently on though.

I wasnt talking about peak hours when there is a quake. And even then 800 is sad

Lets face it the server isnt bringing in new blood but some of the old faces would come back for shit like warders. Or custom content or luclin but I dont see those happening

It doesn't quake every single weekend, stop bullshitting. We get a steady ~700 on your average week day evening. If they'd merge all servers we'd hit 1000+ on a daily basis.

New people still join. Not as much as it used to be, but there's still as steady trickle in.

I hope the people who would come back for warder loot never come back. Pixel hungry, greedy, antisocial pricks.

Yea I still see new players often. Just last I saw naked noobs outside black burrow and saw a full group doing slavers in crushbone. Now do these players get to raid level or quit before. I suspect a lot of new blood gets stuck in the 30s where I feel the pop is the lowest in terms of leveling groups.

We're like 20 years past MMO prime, even with a new server the vast majority of players would be existing/returning ones. I don't think new players are a good metric, it will always only be just a trickle. P99 barely even exists in the public consciousness outside our community.
