Had same issue. Downloaded latest files from https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...ead.php?t=2651 and overwrote files in my P99 directory. Now I can play.

Thanks. Y'all normally link it on the thread itself, that's why me and others had errors...ive never actually used the link in the image above to download a patch, since playing here (over 9 years). Very easy to miss that.

Downloaded the current patch and I'm still getting the spells_us.txt error.

couldnt extract dsetup.dll due to Trj, *fixed* Through going back to 49v and not patching the dsetup.dll with the 50v patch.
