For me, Reddit wasn’t always about being nice. Reddit was a great place to argue and talk shit, I got a lot of my upvotes from arguments or smack talk, and I can’t recall anyone I was arguing with not getting downvoted into oblivion. Even some with left-leaning positions

I always picked targets who I felt had it coming tho. Probably not. Which is why shows like 13 Reasons Why are so terrible, because they glorify suicide as this “learning experience” for the person’s bullies where they all have some come to Jesus moment and feel real real bad

And that’s not how life works. There’s a lot of sick fucks out there who really wouldn’t care, and the greater the amount of abuse, the less likely the abuser would have cared. And even if they did, the other person is still too dead to notice, and the ones that did care about them hurting
