Default Runspeed Comparison

Dear druids/shamans (and rangers/bards),

I have added a Runspeed Comparison to the wiki
http://wiki.project1999.com/Runspeed_Comparison

Can you please check it for accuracy and provide feedback.

Then we can go through the class pages and speed adjusting spells and link it through.

Thanks.

Don't forget scale of wolf and spirit of cheetah!

Would be awesome if you had sneak speeds and walking speed on there also [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

might be better to change the Y axis to runspeed, not % increase, i.e. add 100 to all values

Would like a slightly more varied color palette for graph, or a better arrangement. Right now there are two reds and two greens. The legend on it is not super clear either.

Caution: If you are attacked Scale of Wolf buff will drop and you will lose the movement speed increase
That's an error. Being attacked won't break Scale of Wolf / Spirit of Scale. Attacking or casting a spell will. You should remove the selos part that mentions "like scale of wolf", because their break conditions are different.

Logging on druid to confirm this. Yep. Being hit doesn't break scale.

Runspeed is capped at 2.56x base, so there's effectively only about a 1% difference between selo's drums of the march (24) and drums of the beast (26).

The way I calculated it is that the drums Selo's drums of the march is 2.4 times the base 65% song increase (at level 50) which hits the cap of 2.56 - so there should be no difference in run speed past level 50 and drums of the beast will allow players to hit that cap at level 45 - or have I completely misunderstood how the drums effect runspeed?

Just wanted to say nice work! A friend of mine was asking me something like this the other day. I'll have to direct her here.

That's a close enough approximation, though measured speeds don't correspond exactly (e.g., selo's drums of the march cap at 2.55x, not 2.56x as puretone/drums of the beast do). I don't know the reason for the discrepancy without looking at the source code.

And yes, drums of the beast allow a player to cap their runspeed at L45. I should've clarified that the 1% difference between the top two drums is at L50.

Okay, I've updated the cap for velious (2.56) and kunark (2.55) drums. I've also fixed the comments about scale of wolf.

Sorn: I've fixed the colour schemes - the legend is made clear if you read the detail on the page.
