have you tried resetting the gateway on your modem/router? It worked for me. I now reset it once a week.

ok after resetting modem, I still had the same issue so i went ahead and installed latest patch file again (even though there was no message for me to go get an update) and it FIXED!

No lag no crash for 3 hours of playing!

I work on the road, so I use multiple different connections, and when I am home on the weekends I use a different pc completely. I am having the same basic issues.

1) I crash all the damn time while zoning, or while loading from charecter select to zone.
2) Atleast half the time, the server select screen is blank.
3) Sometimes It tells me to update my spell files and such once in char select.
4) I have random graphic freezes, not lag. All these issues just started recently.

The following fixed the issue for me:

Plugging the ethernet cable directly into the cable modem

or

resetting/unplugging and plugging back in the router I am using (a cheap Frys router).

Some websites were slowing way down and downloads were failing which caused me to investigate the issue further. I strongly suspect the router, but it seems like a weird issue.

Looks like this is the most original thread of this issue. My problem as described in my thread is exactly same as this one. (Maybe with some minor detail difference.) I tried all suggested fixes like router/modem/fullscreen etc. They never work.

Default Always ends up being an isp issue

When I first had this problem it ended up being my poe box wasn't working properly. Ever since it's only when my isp is terrible and as soon as I get them to reset the radio I get my Internet from all problems cease.
