I'm pretty sure it was iksar only until later. Though when later is, i'm just not too sure

I had it on my Dark Elf SK. In fact I was the first one to do it on my server. I don't think it was ever iskar only but I could be wrong.

I tell you one thing. I hope you have a love for Bone chips. it took me 2 weeks to get all the bone chips and turn them in just so I could turn in the book to start the quest.

But no I don't think you need to be an iskar to do it. One more thing. once you do have the faction stay away from the shamy guild. its veary close to the guy you turn into and they will still attack you.

Greenmist was not available during the classic era. The iksar quest lines for all the classes were in, but were not completable past a certain point, and were not made completable till way past classic. If you notice Greenmist has a bane Shissar component, and Shissar only showed up during SoL so it was at least up to SoL if not later before it was implemented.

It was finally finished just prior to Luclin. October or November 2001. It was the first bane weapon available.

Also, if any devs are reading this. Greenmist was designed with a unique graphic, that's somewhere in the graphics file. It was the one intended for its use. However when it finally got fixed another dev ended up finishing it and obviously had no idea about that graphic - they gave it a generic katana look. You should definitely consider putting in the original graphic when it's implemented. It had the iksar star logo on it if I recall

This weapon does in fact exist. It has yet to be found, but it IS attainable. Through many hours of research in and out of game, the target now lies in the jail of the Temple of Droga(sp?). Argest is presumed to be one of the prisoners there, but unfortunately, nobody has managed to get him to talk as of yet... besides telling you to abandon your search for Greenmist. It's a long hard road, but we WILL solve this puzzle.
