Adamantite band question.
I've been leveling an enchanter and there's some conflicting information on some guides. Is it worthwhile to give a pet 2 of these or will they only equip one? Thanks.

Charm a level 1, give a 2x hp ring. Break charm, do 100 damage. If you kill it the mob only had one equippable finger slot.
Do a similar process to find out whether they can benefit from 3x rings. Lettuce snow yore results.

I tested this on 4 decaying skeletons using Chaotic Feedback to nuke.
A - No rings, dead in 1 cast B - 1 Ada Ring, dead in 2 casts C - 2 Ada Rings, dead in 4 casts D - 2 Ada Rings, 1 5AC/55HP ring, dead in 4 casts, same % per nuke as C So pets can wear up to two rings.

I’m only 49, but I haven’t considered potentially losing a 200p piece of gear on a charmed pet if it dies to mobs as necessary for charming
For me personally, if I’m worried about charm breaks, I just go for lower level targets, no -mr gear required. Maybe this will change at high level though Also, charmed pets still make disappointing tanks. They can deal decent damage, although even at my lev the animation’s damage is still neck and neck (its max hits are less but it hits more often in a span of time so dps seems comparable). But charmed pets can’t take hits for shit. Giving them AC buff doesn’t help. It’s not worth hasting them because unless they are killing things significantly lower level than them, even with slow on the target, they can only kill at most 1-2 other mobs before they are about to die themselves. So haste on them is just a colossal waste of mana to me. And doing the blur-to-heal-to-full just takes too much time IMO. I prefer to just kill them and find a new one Maybe I’m doing it wrong tho

The only time I could see a scenario involving giving a pet -MR gear and/or dps gear would be to headhunt a particular target that you know will be a long fight where charm breaks could really put you in danger. For just leveling though? Heck no, but again, maybe this changes 50-60 I dunno. I personally have exclusively hunted mobs that were exp greens to low blue (low blue as the charm target so that it can kill 1-2 before it is about to die), and with that target selection, 230 cha keeps it fairly reliable. There’s still breaks, double and triple breaks even, but those are rare

To be honest, I was being a little flippant/facetious. Not entirely though.
I've only found putting AC gear on a pet to be useful at low level (when mob atk doesn't completely outstrip mob AC - at higher levels the discrepancy is so high that adding equipment and buffs does little to help). I'm sure other players have had different experiences though!

I have nothing against anyone who gives gear to either kind though. More power to you, especially if you have the pp stock for it. And especially like you mentioned if it does do some significant improvement
