it is true though.

I mean, if you believe the vast majority of them are homeless by choice then that's your prerogative.

But the fact remains approx. the same number of Ukrainians in Ukraine (pre world war 3) were equal to those that live in poverty in the usa. 12.8% 320 million Americans, it adds up.

Also I kind of wonder is life in poverty in the USA better, or worse than life in poverty in Ukraine?

I honestly dont know, aside from the weather, I might imagine the old country is a bit more accustomed to it, and in less of a wealth gap situation, constantly being reminded that they should have a 13 million dollar home and drive Ferraris.

I dont see why the only people we can help are the ones that we need to use military force to intervene with. When we can literally help that many people anywhere else without firing a shot!
US poverty quality of life is better than QoL for the average Ukrainian.

I don't think I'm exaggerating, or much.

Is it though? What metric would you say makes you draw that conclusion?

If it's weather I'd agree.

hmm according to this none of the countries below ukraine I'd really say seem very fun.

I just imagine having nothing in the USA would be mind numbing because pretty much everyone is miserable around here except for clueless rich people.

It's true. That area is extremely isolated. There's only 1 or 2 roads onto that stretch of land.

It's extremely vulnerable.

I'm not saying it would lose a war for them, but a small force can easily cut it off from use.
I'm sure a trident-level country has more than one sub base dude.

Let's gamble nuclear apocalypse on some right wing nut who's probably scared to talk about this stuff to anyone who isn't on an obscure forum.

Yeah, you would think, right?

But the Russian Navy is extremely limited in that regard.

This war kind of proves it.

The Black Sea is incredibly crucial to Russia. Insanely crucial. Enough that they'll invade their neighbor to hang onto it.

Look up Murmansk. That's where Russia holds a majority of their remaining fleet, including many strategic weapons.

Finland joining NATO essentially doubled the amount of border that Russia has to defend. The Eurasian Steppe has been the focus for generations in terms of defense. It's why Russia invests so much into tanks and artillery, but now they have to think about the north. NATO can build bases on Gotland and just straight up blockade Saint Petersburg with ease.

It would be a disaster for Russia.

they're worried about a surprise attack, you'd see overlord coming if he had to cross the sea to muster in lapland.

Sorry, maybe 'blockade' wasn't the right word for it.

The threat would most likely come from air assets. They could fly sorties nonstop from Gotland.
