Wait...an image of Trump in a space suit was being used by Amazon and Walmart?

He can use assets to create a new image. That's Fair Use law. https://www.copyright.gov/fair-use/

Also, every photo from NASA is public domain.

Sorry you fell for clickbait.
Does not change the amazon.com, mens warehouse, and other images that are not public domain or fair use.

Show me the part that says "You can steal this, alter it very slightly, then sell it for a profit.".

Fair Use
Your reproduction may also fall under the "fair use" doctrine, which is a defense to a charge of copyright infringement. According to federal copyright law, fair use includes the use of a photo for educational purposes, research, criticism, comment and news reporting. Fair use may also apply to the incidental appearance of a photo, such as in the background of a larger image. One factor in determining fair use is whether it is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit purposes. Whether the fair use doctrine applies to a particular work depends on several factors, and each case is looked at individually.

Sorry you cannot read.

Highly doubt anyone on this board has bought a $99 picture
You don't think Dino has actually spent any of his precious crypto to support the GOP and their stupid NFTs? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Anyone who posts about buying other crypto isn’t going to suddenly not do it when buying something else so, no, I doubt it

You posted it right there. Just because someone profits from a recreation does not exclude them from Fair Use.

Fair Use is commonly used to protect those who create entertainment for profit.

As long as you meaningfully alter the image enough to create something new, you're fine.

Which is why no one is bothering suing him over it.

Because they would lose.

You actually think NASA copyrights their images...

Lol jesus, you guys fall for everything.

What next? "TRUMP STOLE THE NATIONAL ANTHEM!!"

It's called Public Domain.

That means you can freely use it without legal issues.
Trump is monetizing images stolen from Walmart merchandise and you're over here screaming your head off about NASA like you don't realize you're not actually a lawyer.

The NFT bubble popped and Trump boomered his way into this.

But that doesn't mean people won't make money off this.

It's a former president creating NFTs. That's a massive moment in the space and that's what creates value.

Also what’s this talk about supporting the GOP with it? I thought the site said the money was NOT being used for campaign funds and seems like it’s going right to Trump

That’s why I thought the entire idea would tank, I thought the only way people would be interested is if they thought it was going for their cause or something

Do you really think that they didn't think this through before hand?

Because I know for a fact that they did based on the amount of hoops they put in place to get the free NFTs due to federal law.

If they put that amount of effort into the contract, at the very least they put the very basic effort into making sure they could legally sell these.

You're not thinking critically.

No, I don't think Republican dumbasses like yourself often think things through beforehand. That's why when they tried to violently overthrow the government they failed so pathetically for the whole country to see.

Okay, then cool.

File a lawsuit.

They already made millions.

Why aren't they being sued?
