My personal take though -
1) automatic registration at 18 for US citizens with zero chance of getting removed from the registrar.
2) required to vote or get fined (call me an authoritarian idgaf).
3) paid day off/holiday on voting day.

I have to get up ass early to go to the polling station before work. I already tried asking my work to give me time to fulfill my civic duty and vote years ago, and they asked what time the polling station opened vs what time my work shift started. Needless to say I lost that argument

I had no idea I was paying for that shit.

Also I spent the last 20 years demanding election reform and trying to get rid of the electoral college and to do rank choice voting as a party democrat voter.

Is that domestic terrorism, anti American, anti democracy now? Because the news says it is, but they said that IDs were racism and we cleared that one up.
